Happy Easter.

Easter2011Easter2011 Easter2011 Ph. Me

I hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday! Believe it or not, today was actually the first time I did some egg coloring. Since it was my first time it didn’t come perfect like I would have wanted. I bought one of those generic egg dye kits that they sell at the stores so it would come out perfect. Later on I found out that I could have just used food coloring (Silly me). All the eggs that contained vinegar came out spotty (sort of cool patterns) and all the others with no spots were just with plain water.

Here were the instructions:

I used 10 eggs, but you can dye as many as you want

Fill a cup with 3 tablespoons of water (Brighter color use vinegar here instead)

Add food coloring with your desired color

Mix color

Add 1/2 cup of water

I enjoyed this project and its great to do with family on Easter Sunday! Next year I will probably try a kit I saw at the store that the eggs would come Tie Dye! I thought it was so cool, but wanted to my first batch the traditional way. I now enjoy egg coloring and plan to make it a tradition every year with my family. What are your family traditions on Easter? Check out these yummy Easter Candy Bars A beautiful Mess posted.

Remember I mentioned on a previous post that I had the chance to meet Rebecca Minkoff? Well that at that same event I had the pleasure of meeting Ria Michelle. Ria Michelle is also a fashion blogger from here in Miami and is currently contributing on the Miami Fashion Blog as a writer/photographer. Ria took some pictures of me at the event and posted them on the Miami Fashion Blog post Miami Weekend.

Look up! It is BRIGHT again.

Everyone in the blog world is talking about “The Pouch”. You know the pouch that every model, photographer, editor in the fashion industry is walking around with these days. Yes! It does look like an oversized coin purse. Since its simple and it comes out in bright colors that are in style for summer. It looks like Kate Spade, Celine, and Chloe are the “HOT” designer styles for the season! Do you think everyone will be able to pull of these neon colors that have hit the street? I sure hope so because it looks like everyone is going gaga for them! (At least the fashion industry)

Those bright colored neon bags are on every March issue. I just want to buy every color to wear with a simple white dress or white blazer. It looks so appealing and elegant that it makes me want to go buy the white blazer I saw at Zara the other day. Another obsession that has hit my “want” list is the new hot summer heels that Zara just received and put on their website! (Will talk about them in the next post) Good thing spring break is coming along and I will get a chance to hit the stores for some bright neon bags, clothes, heels.

Below I will feature the Simple Pouches I mentioned earlier and the affordable ones that I am sure you have heard of already.

The pouches below are from Céline and Comme des Garçons.
